The homemade apricot marmalade at breakfast is awesome! It's delicious and a unique touch that sets this hotel apart.
The lighting in our room was quite dim, particularly with the overwhelming yellow hues, made it feel a bit dated.

No complaints whatsoever, the hotel met expectations. All in all - had a great 2 night stay. Greatly enjoyed staying at the lovely double room with a view of the abbey. My breakfast was plentiful and satisfactory with nice view. The location offered was brilliant and super just next door to railroad station...
Nothing!

I stayed for 1 night in a spacious Single Room with modern decor. The dinner was fantastic, and the staff were helpful. They offered great advice for local exploration and had an awesome bike storage. Plus, the views of the Abbey were a lovely bonus 🌟

Very "gemuttlich" friendly, hotel with a good kitchen (dinner 2 times !!), great b'fast, wonderful location for visiting the "Romantik Strasse".Quiet small village on pretty lake.
Bar to hang two towels so they really can be used the next day....enviroment plea you have does not go far if guests cannot have a dry towel.??!!

The room was adequately sized but suffocated by that horrid yellow lighting, I received no welcome gift, which would've been nice. And parking? An absolute nightmare, it seems only the lucky ones get to park without hassle! Thought I'd give a good review, but just couldn't, terribly disappointing experience.

The room with a/c. Besides, the location was unbeatable and exceptionally nice for our stay, within 10 minutes' walk of a monastery church.

As it was a family-run hotel, we especially liked the breakfasts there. The restauraunt in the front of the hotel was very good as well.
One of the windows was broken (but we still had a great view of the abbey) and the in-room fridge was broken as well.

The breakfast was a feast-lots of choices, and I even got to have dinner on the terrace looking right at that fine Abbey on the hill. Talk about magical! Just a heads up, it's a little uphill from the train station. No biggie, though!

During my three-night stay, I was captivated by the stunning views of Melk Abbey from my spacious room. The breakfast was a highlight, featuring fresh meats, cheeses, and fruits that really set a great tone for the day. Plus, having a fantastic restaurant on-site was ideal after exploring the nearby attractions, like the charming Stadtpfarrkirche right around the corner.

I liked everything. (I've known and stayed at that hotel many times over the past 17 years). Everything about gets top marks from me - and let me add a few extra kudos for the kitchen/cuisine.
Nothing about the hotel directly - but I did say when booking through you that I wanted, if possible, a room in which I could smoke - and I got no indication from anyone that the hotel is now entirely non-smoking (except for the patio area, of course) until I got there. About "guest reviews:" I did not read any and, being familiar with the hotel, did not want to. Re main reason for my stay:" I would say "location" and "reputation."

We thought the room was excellent: not too small and very comfortable. The staff is very friendly, we enjoyed a lovely evening meal in the restaurant with regional and fresh products: bravo!
